Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)

I floated this at Village pump (proposals) here awhile back, and there was wide support for doing this (some editors said they felt it unofficially already was a guideline). But, it was noted that the essay, Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Album article style advice, needed some clean up and to be fleshed out in places. After multiple discussions, including some disputes and RfCs, I think the essay is finally in a place where there is an updated consensus and enough detail that it can be an official MOS style guideline. This is a formal presentation of the updated and discussed essay to see if there is support for making it formally part of Wikipedia's Manual of Style.--3family6 (Talk to me|See what I have done) 12:35, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

Should the last sentence of the Plot section read:

A. Light sees "a flash of blue" in the crowd as the rope slips around his neck and thinks of Emily before being hanged in front of the crowd. (the current wording)

or

B. Light sees "a flash of blue" in the crowd as the rope slips around his neck and thinks of Emily. A loud slamming sound is heard, followed by creaking.

Talk:Lists of American universities and colleges

Colleges in Alabama

I am requesting broader community input on whether state-level education maps (showing locations of colleges and universities by state) should be included in List of colleges and universities in ____ articles or related pages. Not allowing these maps will basically ban me from making any maps in the future. I also put a lot of work into the Tables, which could be a good resource for college hunting for students.

Concerns have been raised about legibility and color contrast (which has been resolved).
