The Spam-whitelist page is used in conjunction with the Mediawiki SpamBlacklist extension, and lists strings of text that override Meta's blacklist and the local spam-blacklist.

Please enter your requests at the bottom of the "proposed additions", "proposed removals", or "troubleshooting" section, as appropriate, and not at the bottom of the page. Sign your requests with four tildes: ~~~~

Also in your request, please include the following:

    1. The link that you want whitelisted in the section title, like === example.com/help/index.php === .
    2. The Wikipedia page on which you want to use the link
    3. An explanation why it would be useful to the encyclopedia article proper
    4. If the site you're requesting is listed at /Common requests, please include confirmation that you have read the reason why requests regarding the site are commonly denied and that you still desire to proceed with your request

Important: You must provide a full link to the specific web page you want to be whitelisted (leave out the http:// from the front; otherwise you will not be able to save your edit to this page). Requests quoting only a domain (i.e. ending in .com or similar with nothing after the / character) are likely to be denied. If you wish to have a site fully unblocked please visit the relevant section of MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Note: Do not request links to be whitelisted where you can reasonably suspect that the material you want to link to is in violation of copyright (see WP:LINKVIO). Such requests will likely be summarily rejected.

There is no automated notification system in place for the results of requests, and you will not be notified when your request has a response. You should therefore add this page to your personal watch list, to your notifications through the subscribe feature, or check back here every few days to see if there is any progress on it; in particular, you should check whether administrators have raised any additional queries or expressed any concerns about the request, as failure to reply to these promptly will generally result in the request being denied.

    Completed requests are archived, additions and removal are logged. →snippet for logging: {{/request|1336178183#section_name}}

Note that requests from new or unregistered users are not usually considered.

    Proposed additions

    [edit]

If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline on reliability, please ask for opinions on the Reliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.

Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please get confirmation on the External links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.

If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.

    Allowance of kickstarter.com as a WP:PRIMARY source

    [edit]

Hello, I am writing out Draft:Hollow Knight (franchise), and would like to use a few primary sources from the franchise's creator, that were posted on Kickstarter. The Kickstarter has ended over a decade ago, so it cannot be taken as promotional; they cannot get money through the link anymore. Hello....I am here requesting for the whitelisting of a particular article from an blacklisted website dailyhunt.in. The particular link is a 1-to-1 mirror/syndication of a deleted Hindustan Times article, which covers the final BO figures for many of the highest grossing Indian Bengali films. The link is important because the original HT link now redirects to their homepage and it hasn't been archived. But, it becomes all the more crucial because, it is the only WP:RS which provides the final box office figures for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th film at the List of highest-grossing Indian Bengali films. This link is also required to be cited beside the BO of the films in their individual pages' infobox. I have made a deep search.....there are no other RS that covers the box office for those films. It was the only one but wasn't archived then....and now, we have the article at a blacklisted site....the last option supposedly. Requesting whitelisting only for this particular link. After that, I would be able make an archived version of the dailyhunt.in link and add it to the reference. Thanks. BhikhariInformer (talk) 03:30, 28 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

icon Request withdrawn – I have found an alternative for this content on MSN, which is not blacklisted. Whitelisting for the Dailyhunt link is no longer necessary. Thank you! BhikhariInformer (talk) 03:09, 3 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

    Allowance of xyz.pl

    [edit]

xyz.pl is a Polish news website launched in October 2024 by Polish businessman Grzegorz Nawacki (example of coverage by Polish media). It has been cited as a source by other Polish-language news websites. Some examples:

    • Zając, Łukasz (4 January 2026). "Wojna a zdrowie psychiczne żołnierzy. Wnioski dla Ukrainy i Polski". Defence24 (in Polish). Takie dane na początku września podał portal xyz.pl. [Such data was published by the xyz.pl portal at the beginning of September.]
[According to sources at XYZ.pl, the new chairperson will likely be elected for the current term of office, which will end no later than 30 June 2026.]
    • "Brzoska chce z własnej kieszeni finansować polskie AI". wGospodarce (in Polish). 28 November 2025. Jestem gotów zainwestować nawet 100 mln euro w polską gigafabrykę AI – deklaruje Rafał Brzoska, założyciel i prezes InPost w rozmowie na portalu xyz.pl [I am ready to invest up to €100 million in a Polish AI gigafactory, declares Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost, in an interview on the xyz.pl portal.]

The website's owner, Grzegorz Nawacki [pl], as well as some of its editors, such as Bogdan Góralczyk [pl], have pages on the Polish Wikipedia.

Overall it seems to be a collateral damage caused by the broad "xyz" blacklist. I thus request that the "xyz" block be overridden for this specific website. It publishes helpful news pieces in both Polish and English. Brat Forelli🦊 09:05, 5 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Brat Forelli: My apologies for the bureaucracy, but the scripts are set up like this. the \bxyz\b rule is known to give collateral damage which we liberally override through whitelisting. Hence, Added to MediaWiki:Spam-whitelist. --Dirk Beetstra T C 11:14, 5 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
    [edit]

Bit different to the normal requests here; requesting this specific google forms link is whitelisted in the User Talk namespace.

This was a survey link delivered by MediaWiki message delivery on behalf of m:Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand to approx 50 user talk pages; you can see the original message sent to my talk page here.

The inclusion of the link means the posts can not be archived, which is not great when using a script to archive multiple messages at once, as they're removed from your talk and then aren't published to the archive subpages. Thanks, Nil🥝 21:32, 5 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Nil NZ normally archiving is done by bots, they are exempt from the blacklisting. Only for manual archiving these links are an issue, they will need to be disabled before archiving. Dirk Beetstra T C 07:16, 6 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, trying to add a link to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Wikipedia is blocking it because it contains "c.org" which is blocked. The url is at Link requested to be whitelisted: unodc.org. It should be whitelisted so that links to her site can be included in the person infobox and external links parts of her page (i.e., Josie Kins). Link requested to be whitelisted: googleblog.blogspot.com I understand that requests for a full subdomain are unlikely to be approved without prior consensus, but this is verifiably the old URL for Google's official blog, and a number of their old posts are still hosted there (as opposed to blog.google). Going to the url directly automatically redirects to blog.google, but the original homepage can still be accessed via googleblog.blogspot.com/view/sidebar, and any articles can be accessed via their respective urls. There are multiple locations on the website that claim it's Google's official blog (like googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/), and articles from news organizations cited it as a primary source (like www.bbc.com/news/technology-18090119). I don't think its technically fully blacklisted, but I definitely get warnings about self-published sources every time I try to cite it when working on Google Drawings. Is there anything that can be done about those? JarJarInks٩(◕_◕)۶Tones essay 14:09, 15 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Link requested to be whitelisted: digifind-it.com

I attempted to add a link to www.digifind-it.com/linden/data/yearbooks/1964.pdf and received a blacklist message indicating that the domain it.com was blacklisted, though the link being added from digifind-it.com seems to have no connection to the it.com domain that's cited. That link would have been added to the articles for Linden High School (New Jersey) and in the article for Frank Jeckell. I filed this request on the blacklist article and was referred here.

The domain is used in a few hundred articles, including Tim Landis, Keyport, New Jersey, Aberdeen Township, New Jersey, Route 35 Drive-In, William J. Sewell, Phalanx, New Jersey, Robert D. Clifton, Rumson, New Jersey, Nick Prisco, James M. McGowan and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. I am requesting the entire domain, because there seems to be no reason that any part of the domain was blocked.

The campaign it self was reported on by other sources at it's creation, but no other articles were written about it's status and closure afterwards. Archiving impediment

    [edit]

I am attempting to publish the User talk:Roman Spinner/Archive 8 (2020 and 2021) portion of User talk:Roman Spinner in the same manner as I have archived the previous sections such as User talk:Roman Spinner/Archive 1 (2006 and 2007) or the most recent one User talk:Roman Spinner/Archive 9 (2022 and 2023). However, I am prevented from saving User talk:Roman Spinner/Archive 8 (2020 and 2021) by a warning that somewhere within the scores of postings in 2020 and 2021 is the blacklisted link filesusr.com. I have deleted my talk page postings from 2020 and 2021 and would like to archive them in the same manner as User talk:Roman Spinner/Archive 1 (2006 and 2007) or User talk:Roman Spinner/Archive 9 (2022 and 2023), but I cannot even find the blacklisted link filesusr.com within the huge mass of postings. Is it possible to permit me to simply archive the 2020 and 2021 postings without having to search for that blacklisted link?. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 01:02, 2 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I created the page by copying the wikitext you removed from your talk, then changing the blocked link so it was not a link. It should all be good now and no whitelist is needed. Johnuniq (talk) 01:49, 2 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I am sorry if this is wrong place. But, I see no option to add "new topic on talk page" here. So, I am writing this message on reply talk wall of this page. Some days ago I created a page about Blooket wiki in Wikipedia. And constantly improving it. For that i would be in need of more citation. Eventually, one of the main source for references is blocked due to being .xyz domain on wikipedia. Which I kindly request you to help me unblocked. The domain name is https://racecode. xyz/. I am leaving the gap because auto spam filer will not let me to publish this. The reason why this domain should be unblocked is because it contains a lot's of article which can be used as references in blooket wiki pages.
