Thank you for the unexpected Christmas present, it was greatly appreciated! Just as a possible piece of follow-up, you rightly declined this draft Draft:Balanda (ethnic group) due to poor sources. Well it got re-submitted, still sourcing was insufficient. So I elected to delve a little deeper to add in the online sources and discovered this was all a bit odd, as you can see. I am at a loss as to what should happen now, beyond another decline, but I thought you could find it interesting. ChrysGalley (talk) 12:20, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing that out. I haven't seen something like this (granted, I've only been reviewing since early November), but I guess you have taught me to dive deeper into looking at AfC topics. Thanks, and happy holidays to you and your family. 🌀Hurricane Wind and Fire (talk) (contribs)🔥 15:08, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- No I don't think you needed to have done anything more, the sources were too poor anyway. I only decided to add the online sourcing since I had the time and it's an area of interest to me, and it was only then that a DOI was not all it seemed. Merry Christmas, as we say over here, or indeed Eid milad majid ! ChrysGalley (talk) 15:20, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
AfC Declines
[edit]Howdy; You had declined two submissions made by the author of this draft: Draft:Neel Nayak — I believe the author may be Nayak themselves, and have asked for clarification on their "disclosed" COI (they vaguely assert they have a COI on their User page) over on their Talk page. Further, I believe this user is extensively utilizing an LLM to write these articles, at least the Nayak article and their User page. The other two are too short to judge. Anyways, I wanted to to let you know in case you see more of their submissions. Cheers - MWFwiki (talk) 12:06, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for letting me know. It is pretty clear the Nayak draft is AI-generated. I'll let you know if I review any more drafts that are AI-generated or promotional. 🌀Hurricane Wind and Fire (talk) (contribs)🔥 15:25, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
Magnetoglobus. multicellularis
[edit]Hello, I understand completely why my article was declined, as this as one of my first attempts at a serious contribution to Wikipedia. My only concern is that my laptop shut down while I was in editor mode 2 hours ago, and when it came back online, an updated version of my article seemed to have disappeared, as I had written a few more paragraphs about such as one titles "motility". I understand that I cannot publish my article, and with good and fair reason. But I would still like to download a copy of my draft for personal use, and now my most recent draft is gone.
Thank you in advance, from CuniformCuniform CuniformCuniform (talk) 21:50, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
- @CuniformCuniform on the Tools bar (which should be on your sidebar or top of your screen near the "Edit" or "Edit source" button is), in the Print/export section, there is an option to download your draft as a PDF.
- Changes are not published until you press the blue "Publish changes" button, so unfortunately, if something like this happens again, your changes won't be saved.
- One tip, though: Once you come to a point during a major edit where you have to stop editing for some reason, copy and paste the wikitext with your changes into a Word document and save. This has saved me before, I hope it does the same for you.
- If you would like clarification or have more questions, please ask me. 🌀Hurricane Wind and Fire (talk) (contribs)🔥 21:57, 27 December 2025 (UTC)

Still Editing...
[edit]Hey, I just want to let you know that I am back in the mood to edit wildfire pages again. I haven't really been to active as of late due to me getting burned out from school (bullying, tests, etc.). Of course, the whole "AI" thing has gotten passed me. I used AI to assist me on ~50 edits or so from August 2025 - October 2025. You may have seen that I created the 2026 Oklahoma wildfires page. I can't wait to make more. I just finished creating my Guestbook. You can be my first signature! CostalCal (talk) 07:31, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- It's good you're coming back! I was getting worried I had made you upset and was the reason you had lowered your activity. Sorry about what is happening in school, I hope it gets better. Again, I'm happy you're coming back! 🌀Hurricane Wind and Fire (talk) (contribs)🔥 14:21, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

I'm Having Trouble
[edit]Hey, I am trying to decline Draft:2026 Alabama Crimson Tide football team; however, I don't know how to do so. CostalCal (talk) 04:32, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- First, you need to turn on the AfC helper script. You go to "Preferences", then you need to go to "Gadgets". Scroll down to "Editing", and AfC helper script should be one of the last few options. Mark the box, and AFCH is activated.
- Now, declining the draft. Wherever you have "Tools" (either on your sidebar or a dropdown menu near the "Edit" button) you should see the option "Review" below "Move" on any page in the draft or userspace. Click "Review" on any page you want to Accept, Decline, Reject, or Comment on and there will be some options to decline the draft centered around notability, prose issues, or verifiability. You can also leave a comment along with a decline/reject to clarify or give advice related to the draft for the user.
- Be prepared to have questions on the other user's talk page and on your talk page to answer. If you don't know how or what to answer, you can direct them to the AfC help desk where other reviewers can help them.
- If I wasn't clear enough or you want help in the future, go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Helper script. 🌀Hurricane Wind and Fire (talk) (contribs)🔥 14:25, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you! I just downloaded the gadget and declined my first article! CostalCal (talk) 20:09, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

Draft: Blake Bass Middle School
[edit]Thank you for reviewing my article! This is my first time writing a new article for Wikipedia, so I’d just like to ask a bit more about why the sources I provided were declined. One reason you provided was that my 5th source did not cover the subject, however it was meant to show the facts I listed in the article relating to Blake Bass (the school’s namesake). I do understand that my 3rd source led to nowhere and I thank you for catching that, however the routine reports (sources 2 and 4) I provided were simply to further back up some of the data that was in the article. What suggestions do you have for improving this article and how could I make my references better? The help would be much appreciated. Thank you,
Jackson R Farrell Jackson R Farrell (talk) 19:12, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Jackson R Farrell The problem is not necessarily the quality of the sources or that the sources cannot be used, but rather, the sources do not establish notability. When I meant the sources did not significantly cover the subject, I meant it did not really go in-depth with several paragraphs, and you can use sources that are considered routine reporting, they just won't establish notability.
- The last source is an example of a source that establishes notability. It shows a major accomplishment of the school. Preferably, you want to find websites independent of the subject that go in-depth (at least several paragraphs) about one of the school's accomplishments or why it is very important for that area. If you can find sources that aren't local to the area, they are even better for establishing notability. Please feel free to ask more questions if you need clarification or are wondering about something else. 🌀Hurricane Wind and Fire (talk) (contribs)🔥 19:51, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- I see now, thank you very much. That makes much more sense. I think I’m going to switch topics for the article now and work on Blake Bass once I’ve become a bit more established in the world of publishing articles. Thank you again! Jackson R Farrell (talk) 13:57, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
Speedy Deletetion
[edit]I don't have any intention of keeping it as a draft article now, so Draft:Wikipedia is REALLY an MMORPG can be deleted. GiftedGirI (talk) 03:14, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- @GiftedGirI If you want the draft deleted, tag it with {{db-g7}} and it will be deleted by an administrator in time. See WP:G7 for the future to tag pages you substantially contributed to to be deleted. Cheers! 🌀Hurricane Wind and Fire (talk) (contribs)🔥 03:34, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
